High demand for Cloud, Data Analytics, Legacy Skills down

Information and Technology service provider firms having hired few peoples with legacy skills during the last four and five months due to business slow down and Covid-19 crises all over the world however that’s not the case for Cloud and data analytics. We have reported that IT firms are hiring fewer people in legacy skills but the demand for cloud, data analytics increase rise.

The analysis said that the higher demand for newer digital skills is raised. Software services exporters have recruited more people who are good skills in data analytics, data science, cloud computing (AWS), and other emerging technologies.

Rituparna Chakraborty, co-founder and executive vice president of staffing services firm Team Lease said that Apart from marginal demand for C, C++, VLSI design, no other legacy skills have been in demand in the past some months”. Demand for traditional skills has been significantly low from both technologies as well as non-technology companies, as the pandemic situation has impacted overall hiring across industry sectors.

She added that hiring is restricted to the area of interest profiles and roles and demand for Hadoop builders, information analytics specialists continue to be on greater demand each in expertise and non-technology sectors.

Healthcare and pharmacy sectors also saw three out of ten employers intending to hire despite higher demand due to the pandemic, according to a Team Lease report.

Miss Chakraborty also said that “People are choosing to consolidate. I am not expecting people to hire in any sector just because they feel like it. 10,900 roles were created for data science between June and August, 13,500 job roles were created for data analytics.
Demand for AWS or cloud computing skills has grown 6% to 13,200 between June and August and upcoming months or years.
